This Online publication, (like most of my other ideas) is an experimental project and I am hoping to provide a service to the local community as well as to local merchants who are always looking for a better way to communicate with the people of this area.  If you feel you could assist us in this effort, I would appreciate hearing from you.  Just stop by the shop sometime when you see me there and let me know what ideas you might have to add.
I Design and Host Websites, make all kinds of Signs, build creative LOG Furniture and have a very small resale shop at
225 Main St
in beautiful Downtown Washburn.
In an
Exclusive Interview, the
Washburn Town Dog

(I  think he said his name was Jethro although he preferred to not give his name)

speaks out on the Animal Control Issue
Washburn Express:  How do you feel about the animal control issue?

Town Dog: Actually I am in favor of it.  I feel animals should be given more control than people.  We create fewer problems overall in terms of legislation, taxes, domestic violence, etc.  The list is actually endless.

Washburn Express:  You have a unique perspective, but what was refering to was the recent letter sent by the city reminding people about the leash law.

Town Dog:  Oh I heard about that, but I never got a copy of the letter.  Besides, until recently I never even had a collar.

Washburn Express: I suppose that might be a handicap, not being able to read.  So what do you do all day?

Town Dog:   I do quite a few important things.  I entertain children quite a bit and offer to eat scraps of food offered to me which keeps the rats and mice from getting them at the landfill.  I also help keep the roaches and varmints from that extra food supply.  Lately I have been chasing cars trying to get them to slow down on the city streets.  The City can not afford full time police so I try to pitch in.

Washburn Express:  It certainly sounds like you stay busy.

Town Dog:   it is a tough job but somebody has to do it.

Washburn Express:  Aren't you ever afraid of being arrested for being loose?

Town Dog:  Hey, watch your language there buddy.  I am not "loose"  I am FREE.  Is that not what we are fighting for overseas?

Washburn Express:  Sorry, I did not mean to get your dander up.

Town Dog:  That's OK.  I understand you human types don't always look at things the way we animals do, but maybe in time I can help get you up to speed.  Now, about your question, I am not real worried about being caught because I am so charming. I can wag my tail and get out of almost any adverse situation.  It has always worked before.

Washburn Express:  But what if by pure chance it does not work, what will you do?

Town Dog:  I have friends in high places I might have to call on if I get in a bind.  for instance my friend ROCKY has been training for situations just like this.  Would you consider arguing with him?
